The Worthy Co. is The Net’s non-profit social enterprise that provides hands-on job training to survivors of trafficking and sexual exploitation in North Texas.
Here, women have the opportunity to earn a living wage, participate in diverse job training, and gain work history as they handcraft beautiful candles and jewelry.

Seeing The Need For employment
In the state of Texas, 4 prostitution misdemeanors results in a felony permanently on your record. Because trafficking and prostitution are so interwoven, survivors often have long criminal records in addition to recovering from trauma, struggling with addiction, lacking an education, and more.
For years, we walked alongside survivors at The Net as they rebuilt their lives. From making restitution with the courts to going back to school to getting their own apartments and buying cars, they worked so hard but continued to run into the same barrier...
Finding jobs that would allow them to fully support themselves and their families.
That's why in 2018, The Net founded The Worthy Co. to meet this need and provide dignified employment to survivors so they could continue rebuilding and flourishing in their new lives.
The Worthy Co. Difference
Many of the women we employ have little to no work history so our goal is to be a soft place for them to land.
Every day they come to a safe and therapeutic place to work and are surrounded by Worthy Co advocates who work alongside them and provide relational support.
In addition to employment, they also have access to The Net’s wraparound services and network of partnerships.
We believe that no past is too challenging to overcome and that everyone is worthy of the chance to rebuild their lives!

At The Candle Studio, you and your friends will be able to select your favorite fragrance and vessel then learn the steps to pour your own custom candle. 100% of proceeds from your class will employ and empower survivors of trafficking!
