If you’re great at building relationships, want to get in the trenches with us, and commit to at least one year of consistent community, you should be an advocate!
As a Jail Advocate, you will visit women who are incarcerated with a history of sexual exploitation, offering unconditional love and support.
Through Jail Outreach, we meet women in jail who have a history of sexual exploitation to let them know there is a support system waiting for them at The Net when they get out.
Every week, our Jail Advocates visit survivors who are incarcerated in the Tarrant County Jail. Many of these women do not have anyone to visit them and often feel like they have been forgotten. We show up to let them know they are seen, known, and loved!
As a Jail Advocate, you will:
Visit women in jail who are incarcerated on prostitution charges
Commit to do 2 jail visits with us per month. We meet at The Net offices, pray together, then carpool to the jail to visit women. Jail Outreach takes place on Monday nights from 5:30-7:30 pm.
*This volunteer opportunity is women only. You must be involved in a local church, including a small group.
