Meet Tina, a brave mother who walked through our doors in March, carrying not just her own hopes for a better future, but those for her unborn child as well.
When we first met Tina, she was fresh out of jail and pregnant, determined to break free from her past of exploitation and trafficking. Today, she stands tall as a testament to resilience and hope, recently sharing words that touched our hearts deeply: "I now know that the shame I used to carry is no longer mine."
Through The Net's RISE program, Tina has achieved milestones that many of us take for granted – opening her first bank account, securing vital documents like her birth certificate, and finding spiritual community through her church's Bible study group. But perhaps most importantly, she's building the safe, nurturing home she always dreamed of providing for her baby.
Tina's journey mirrors that of so many women we serve. This year alone, we've walked alongside 250 survivors, each with their own story of courage and determination. The reality is stark: 91% of the women who come to us have experienced homelessness or lived in shelters, and 56% have never had a bank account. These statistics represent real women, each deserving of the chance to reclaim their lives.
Every woman who walks through our doors carries dreams similar to Tina's – dreams of safety, stability, and a better future for their children. Your end-of-year gift can help turn these dreams into reality.
Will you join us in empowering more brave mothers like Tina? With a year end goal of $100,000, we are praying that 25 of you reading this will partner with us so that together, we can ensure that 2025 brings new beginnings for even more survivors of trafficking. With your support, we stand ready to welcome each survivor that walks through our doors as they take their next step on the journey to rebuild their life.
