JOB DESCRIPTION
Vision of Role
The Purchased Staff Advocate Role will support The Net’s strategy to provide trauma-informed survivor care to survivors of trafficking. Through regular in-person meetings, goal setting, and connecting with our network of resources, this experienced case manager will care for The Net’s clients and provide the opportunities for healing and freedom from exploitation. This individual will act as an advocate for their client’s wellbeing, walking alongside survivors and their families to make sure they receive the right care for their situation.
The ideal candidate has experience in trauma-informed care, case management, and working with women with a history of addiction, mental health challenges, and/or re-entry.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Support direct client services under the leadership of the The Net’s Clinical Program Director
Case Manage Clients: Provide trust-based relational advocacy, emotional support and case management services to sex trafficking survivors
Meet with each client on your caseload of at least 15 clients
Every week for 45 - 60 minutes- depending on their Empowerment Path Step.
Provides care on-site, as well as throughout the Fort Worth city limits.
Check in on the wellbeing of clients. Go over goals and review progress. Problem solve barriers that keep clients from reaching their goals. Connect and refer survivors with trauma-informed services such as: residential, drug, alcohol, mental health treatment, counseling and therapy services, support groups, 12-step programs, family counseling, transitional housing, job skills training, medical services, etc.
Track Incentives/benchmarks
Address and respond to various client crises, providing input regarding the development and implementation of an intervention plan.
Collaborate with survivors to plan and implement individualized services that promote client's strengths, safety, well-being, while helping them achieve their self-determined goals.
Collaborate closely with the Program Staff to connect clients with community mentors and services, working with a team to help identify the best practices for individual clients
Meet weekly with with Clinical Director to staff updates on treatment plans, goals, etc. of survivors
Assist with assessments and intakes on site at OSP or in the surrounding area.
Collaboration
Share any relevant participant information prior to RISE pre-docket bi-weekly to Clinical Director
Coordinate with Clinical Director about services needed from Community Partners
i.e. Angel Tree, Eye Exams, Dwell with Dignity, Smile Dentistry, DiaperBank
Enrichment Classes & Groups
Lead/attend Enrichment classes deemed appropriate by Clinical Director
Help create and research trauma-informed curriculum for Enrichment classes
Coordinate hosting things like birthday parties, GED/diploma graduation parties, milestone celebrations as needed
Additional Job Requirements
Document all relevant data onto documentation platform (Apricot)
Attend all monthly Net social events
Attend trainings and continuing education hours as deemed necessary by Clinical Director
Attend all-staff and Purchased department meetings
Attend all staff events
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required
Background in social services (social work, counseling, etc.) strongly preferred
2-3 years prior experience with vulnerable populations strongly preferred
General knowledge of domestic sex trafficking strongly preferred

COMPENSATION
Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
