Advocacy

Worthy

One of the key elements for a successful recovery is a deep need for healthy friendships and new forms of recreation.

Through Advocacy, The Net creates a network of support for survivors of trafficking through one-on-one relationships with trained volunteers and monthly recreational events.

Through our Advocacy program, we pair each survivor in our program with a trained advocate who is there to be a friend and walk alongside her through each step of her recovery!

You can learn more about each of our advocate opportunities here.

We also host a monthly recreational event where women and their children can make new, positive memories together!

From trips to the zoo to pool parties and a chili cook off, we want to give survivors opportunities to heal surrounded by a healthy community and positive experiences.

By getting involved with our Advocacy program, you can commit to walking alongside a survivor of trafficking as she does the hard work of rebuilding her life.

Due to the sensitive nature of this work, all of our advocate volunteer opportunities require attending a Volunteer Orientation as the first step to getting involved.

This upfront commitment will open you up to experiences that will change your life and the lives of survivors!

Please note, we do not consider ourselves “first responders” for trafficking. If you suspect a situation of trafficking or exploitation, please call the National Human Trafficking Hotline: 1 (888) 373-7888.

Instead, we aim to surround women with a community of support and empower them to rebuild their lives once they are not in crisis.

Make an Impact

Everyone has a role to play in the fight against trafficking! Whether you invest in direct programming with a monthly gift, grow your understanding of the issue through our anti-trafficking resources, or get involved as an advocate, you can make a real difference in the lives of survivors in your community.
