The NET Center
Our weekly empowerment program for our friends experiencing homelessness
Every Tuesday // 1:00PM – 4:00PM // 2640 E Lancaster Ave
On Tuesday afternoons in the basement of the Lancaster City Center, any of our friends have the opportunity to earn points that can then be saved, budgeted, or spent on food, clothing, hygiene, sleepwear, laundry, etc... in the NET Store. The way our friends experiencing homelessness will earn points is by participating in volunteer taught classes!
Weekly breakfast with folks experiencing homelessness
Every Friday // 8:00AM – 9:15AM // 2640 E Lancaster Ave
Every Friday morning we share breakfast and play bingo with those chronically experiencing homelessness. We meet at the Lancaster City Center. It’s best to arrive at 7:45am in order to be a part of our volunteer “huddle” where we give directions, talk about safety guidelines, and pray together.
Monthly celebration lunch of birthdays with our street family
Third Saturdays // 11:00AM – 12:30PM // 2640 E Lancaster Ave
Every 3rd Saturday of the month we host a birthday party for all of our street friends whose birthdays are in that particular month. We share a meal, spend time celebrating each person, and eat birthday cake! This is a time to build true friendships with folks in the homeless community.
Hit the streets with us to meet new friends that are homeless and connect with folks that come to our events. Meet Alex at the Lancaster City Center. This is a time to make new friends and spread the word about our events.
Building relationships with residents at this transitional housing facility for the homeless
Second Mondays // 5:45-7 // 1855 E Lancaster Ave 76103
Every second Monday of the month we spend time building relationships with the residents at Salvation Army. This is a time where we eat desserts, have “family time” where we share with each other what’s going on in our lives, and play bingo! Let the front desk know you’re here with The NET, and they’ll point you in the direction of the Gym or JPS room where we’re meeting that night.
